No custom theme skin?

What are your thoughts on forums that do not have a custom theme skin? I never join a forum that doesn't have a custom theme skin made. To me it shows that the forum is not dedicated and it won't be around for long if they don't have a custom theme skin. I use to join forums like that and every time this always happened. They closed down after a few months.

I don't like forums that have the default theme because it just shows me that they don't want to put the effort in to get a new one.

I don't think that this shows anything to their dedication because they could be new in the forum industry and therefore it does take some time to establish and learn as well.

I do not have custom themes and skins on my forum. I do not think you need custom themes and skins, what is more important is you have a clean interface, fast loading site, and useful and interesting content.
