No custom theme skin?

What are your thoughts on forums that do not have a custom theme skin? I never join a forum that doesn't have a custom theme skin made. To me it shows that the forum is not dedicated and it won't be around for long if they don't have a custom theme skin. I use to join forums like that and every time this always happened. They closed down after a few months.

I don't like forums that have the default theme because it just shows me that they don't want to put the effort in to get a new one.

I don't think that this shows anything to their dedication because they could be new in the forum industry and therefore it does take some time to establish and learn as well.

Perhaps the custom theme skins could make your blog or forum much more attractive than other forums that are on the internet? I think that the layout and proper designing might have some influence over your blog.

I don't think this says anything about their involvement as they may be new to the forum industry and it can take some time to get used to and learn.

I believe in keeping the cost down, therefore., I always use open source content management and always use free themes. I feel people visit your website for content and not for just good looks
