How do you feel about mind uploading? (http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sciencet...s-2045-bodies-replaced-machines-90-years.html)

It seems a little scary to me. I suppose it will answer an important question: are you more than just some chemical signals in your brain? There have been very real reports of transplanted hearts retaining memories which suggests that you may not just be your brain.

If you copy your brain over to a computer but keep your own in your body you are obviously two different "beings". However if you copy your brain over while destroying the one that resides in your body are you still the same "person"?

I expect science to get advanced as time progresses. That means, we may see many unbelievable things in the near future.

The article says "
We'll be uploading our entire MINDS"

And the last time I checked, science still hasn't defined what a "mind" actually is. :p In fact, if you wanted to be strictly scientific, the mind is only philosophical. The google "expert" is just making predictions. But there is no way to assume that this is even possible.
