Military Government is The Worst, Not The Solution in Africa

I am wondering why military coups continue to make waves in the African continent. What surprises me most is that residents came out to rejoice in Niger Republic and Gabon when the military struck. They did so due to hardships and economic challenges in those countries..

People don't know that military rule is a government of severe oppression where you would not have access to freedom of speech anymore. No freedom of the press abd social media would be suppressed or totally banned.

The worst government in the history of my country was after a military coup d'état, we entered a very severe dictatorship and freedom of expression was totally suppressed, I guess this is not the solution for African countries either, but I think this happens when there is a group with some power that is not at all in favor of the prevailing power.
