I have a contact address in my website and I only use phone numbers and my social media platform as a contact point of address with my members incase they want to ask for anything

The only available method to give out to people In other to reach to me is to chat me through my email because if your contacts is given there will be alot of disturbance

I don't for any reason give out my personal contact information like my personal phone numbers on my website for people to reach me on. But they can always reach me via any of my social media platform contacts

How many methods on your site do you have for people to contact you? Do you ever give out private information or for the most part do you keep it online only? Do a lot of people use your contact methods?
Anything about my personal contact is off limits online. It's very hard for me to submit them online for security purposes of identity theft.

most of websites have their own mails, so the website owner can make it specified for professional purpose only and not mix it with his personal mail
The webmail presented by a website can be misused by spammers then you will get many spam emails on your webmail so you cannot continue work. Most of them switch to a support interface then only users can ask a support request to reduce spam received emails.

One effective avenue that we make use of in my business is an instant messaging platform where request are being sent in by client and we have the priviledge of replying them promptly.

You can simply create a contact for me which is attached to your personal email on your website. There are different plugins on WordPress that can help you to create a contact page on your website. There is no need to give up your private contacts.

Asides my email and work phone number, I haven't incorporated anything else but on seeing this your post, I'm thinking of adding a contact form and even have a live chat medium that can make clients reach me in real time as well.

Usually I put up a contact form and email address with maybe social media that is tied to the site, other than that I put my phone only on one site and I think I will never do that again due to whatsapp and viber messages that are annoying.
So yeah in total usually 3 ways of contacting me.

I have seen alot of sites with various methods all in one. They make use of the email method, online messaging method and at the same time the contact method. Most bank sites usually have more than one method, so as to not overcrowd their customer care system

There’s this huge drive to make sure CTAs are perfect. So we change, test, retest, compare samples, examine confidence levels, play with colors, and test some more until we feel like our landing pages are kicking ass and taking names.

Majority of the websites usually employ the use of contact form in case anyone wants to reach out to them. If you are using wordpress there are various plugins you can install to create simple form for contact and your website.

I think that private contact information is a big no from my side and i would never do that however i think that a direct message on the forum and the email address can be teh best way to get into contact.

I restrict contact to mail id, chatbox, suggestion & feedback tab. It's always good to maintain privacy outside the website. Few spammers may be annoying if they get your mobile number. It's good to maintain distance and to be more professional by communicating through e-mails and official chat boxes.

That is very important. There are some people that tend to cross that line and then they try to contact you privately based on what they have on the website, and that can be very detrimental to the website and your own personal safety as well.

Depending on the kind of site I have created, I allow people to contact me through contact form, email, or social media. Usually, I use contact forms. Sometimes I also use emails. I create different email IDs for my site, mainly with the custom domain name. I use social media contacts for online stores.

I have two methods in which members of my site are able to make contact with me if they need to.

The first one if using the Contact Us form which I will receive when they send that.

The second one is sending me a personal message on the forum which I will receive as well.
This is basically what I was going to reply with.

The Contact Us form is rarely used, most people just PM me when they need my attention. The Contact Us form is mainly there for guests with questions or registration issues. I've gotten more spam from the Contact Us form them legitimate forms.

I also have a Discord server for my board that people can contact me on.

Personally, the only time that I make use of Contact Us is when I have difficulty with registration but once I have successfully registered, I make use of PM to contact the forum owner for any need that I have.

Few days ago, I was trying to register on a forum that was created with Invision community software but I couldn't as my registration was denied. I used the Contact Us and was told by the owner that my email was reported as a level 4 spammer.
