Typically on forums you get two members who absolutely abhor each other. What do you do about it? How do you try and keep the peace?

Often if it gets too bad, one of the members ends up going... Do you try and push the member you don't like as much away so as to keep the more valuable member? :)

I guess its better to warn both the members strictly and ask them to avoid each others post. And the first one to break that rule can get the next warning or a temp ban.

I say this because, if they keep on hating and spread the hatred via the posts and replies in the forum, the other members will not feel good about this. And this could be really off putting for the new members.

First, a decent reminder to both the members to behave.
** Try to make peace, by a group conversation if possible **
Second, watch what they do, who tries to irritate another / insult him.
Third, ban the first one that breaks the rules, warn the other.

I will first stop them. Next I will find out what the problem is about. Then I'll act accordingly according to the situation. One of the things I will do regardless of situation is tell them to try to keep their cool.

The best route would be warning them both, and if it continues focus on who is starting the shit. Tell them to knock it out and if not, face the ban hammer. Same goes for the other guy though, ignoring people is usually the best route. I don't really follow these rules though and I end up being the guy who ags people on. :D (Sylar knows what I'm talking about haha)

Your posts are dumb. :3

Step one: PM each memeber asking for them to stop.
Step two: Issue an infraction/warning
Step three: 12 hour ban for both participants
Step four: 24 hour ban for the member at the heart of the arguments.

Not quite as harsh as what I would do but essentially the same.

  1. PM the members
  2. Polite warning
  3. MADBRO warning
  4. Short cool down ban
  5. Perma ban if continued.

Both good methods, might have to remember this for the future. ;)
