I have noticed in some forums especially in the marketplace section, a lot of members seems to be of the habit of copying other users created services to create their own and probably sell the service short just to create competition in the market.

Do you think that there's a way to control this kind of situation in the marketplace?

You can not totally control it, but you can aim to reduce it as a forum, and one way you can do this is to send a message to every member of your forum telling them to desist from it.

Competition is healthy, why should you try to kill the competition? THis is also for the benefit of the community. For instance Bizdustry allow trading only when you are a VIP member, and getting a lot of VIP members will help Bizdustry.
