Do you allow your members to give input when you redesign your forum logo? Do you think they would be really interested in participating in a poll to choose the new logo from 2 or 3 options?

I recently designed some new logos for forums and considered asking the members which they prefer, but the owner on one site was pleased with my first option, so I'll just go with that.

Involving your forum members in the logo design process can be a fruitful and engaging process.

Your forum members come from various backgrounds and may have different creative ideas and insights. Their input can serve as inspiration and help you think outside the box.

Sure I like asking for opinions, especially from potential customers as they are the ones going to said business. I think it's good to ask for opinions as it could also lead to a much better logo. It doesn't hurt either to ask the community for their thoughts or votes even.

I don't allow members on my forum to discuss the logo or even content policy and user guidelines. However, I do consult with the experts. There is no point in asking your members to vote for a good logoi when they do not have any experience in graphic designing and branding.

To some extent I don't see it as something that is necessary for you to allow your members to have input on that unless you have like two logos that you want to make use of. You will just present it to them to help you to choose the one that you will make use of.
