I never realize it was a mix up and can be confusing. "Mb" usually refers to megabits, which is used to measure internet speed or data transfer rates, while "MB" stands for megabytes, which is a unit of digital storage capacity.

That is to say, one is about how fast data moves, and the other is about how much data you can store. Easy to get confused, but knowing the difference can save you some tech headaches.
