In recent times, "Layoff" is a term we are hearing often. Many companies lay off employees in just a couple of months. How do you see this as an issue in the IT world?

The IT world is a rapidly-changing one, with new technologies and processes being introduced every day. It's important for companies to be able to adapt to these changes in order to remain competitive, but it can be difficult for them to make these changes while still providing an excellent employee experience.

Many companies lay off employees in just a couple of months. This can happen because the business is doing well, but also because they want to keep up with the latest technology trends or because they're looking for ways to save money. The problem with laying off employees is that it hurts their morale and leads them to seek new jobs elsewhere. It also takes time for them to get settled into their new roles and learn how things work there—which means that they may not be as productive as they could be until they've had time to adjust.

In addition, when you're laying off employees there are always some who are more valuable than others—so why wouldn't you try your best to retain them instead? For example, if you know that one of your developers has been working on a certain project for four years and knows everything about it (including all its bugs), then why wouldn't you try your hardest

The global recession that started with Covid heightened with the war between Ukraine and Russia and the recession is still on going. When there is a recession, there will be inflation. When there is inflation, business will stop making profits, and when they stop making profits or are not making as much as they used to in the past they will start laying off their workforce to cut operational cost.

2023 have seen more layoffs than I ever expected. I'm not sure if we had the kind of layoffs we had this year like the one we had in 2019-2020 during the pandemic of coronavirus time. Big companies like PayPal, Amazon, Disney, Microsoft, Apple etc have layed off so many of their workers. According to Layoffs.fyi, a total of 224,503 workers have been sacked.
