Keeping accounts safe

Actually, the safety of our online account cannot be overemphasized because anytime the account is hacked then there is no access to that account any more. But I don't think there is anything we can do after registering on a site rather than playing our own part by not revealing our login details. It is just my opinion.

True the amount of power we have in such cases is indeed limited, there is not much we can actually do than to try out best in the little ways we can and keep our accounts safe. By not sharing our login details like you have just said and by keeping our phones safe as well, not everyone should have access to our phones

I think changing of password often is a kind security needs to be put in place, and don't allow your friends and family to have access to your password

Ways or methods of keeping a safe account;
Please learn to be vigilant
Learn to secure your connection as well
Set up account alerts
Always make sure that your password is on lock down and lastly avoid phishing scams.

that's what's happening , people are into hacking,but I think the best way is to take care of it is by putting a strong security ,and most importantly don't share your information with others

The Forum owners need to regularly check their new registration and ban suspicious accounts. The registered users also need to use strong password to secure account.

There are security softwares that site owners use to prevent hacking in their platforms. For a user in the site, it is best to keep your account safe by use of a long and unique password. You also need to enable the two factor authentication as it is so safe.

Hackers have gained access to bigger and more secure sites, so I can't expect 100% that forum owners will be able to protect my information. We can protect ourselves in different ways such as using a pseudonym and using a different email for work. At best, the hacker would be able to get my Paypal ID. I can protect my Paypal account by using a strong password. I also trust Paypal to realize that my account is being accessed from an irregular location. Even Yahoo is working hard to protect my email address by occasionally prompting me to change my password or informing me that someone is attempting to access my account from a certain location. Even when hackers do manage to hack my email, they will likely find nothing of interest.

We can keep personal account secure. This can be achieved when you don't disclose your personal information for anyone online working together in the same website for payment or any helps. This can easily leaks your account information.

To some extent reveling too much sensitive information to online forum especially to forum that has no track record of trust is not ideal.But most forum have a good defence mechanism to secure information given by members.

I believe there is no true way to keep one's account safe online. Even Large and trusted websites could be hacked into and people's personal information could be obtained.

I was wondering how forum owners keep their members' information safe from being hacked. What are some red flags to look for in a forum or site? Is there anything members can do for themselves to keep their accounts secure? What I do is not use my real name. I tend to keep my account barebones.
I think that the most important thing that is that they are able to have a secure offline system that they are able to use to store the data and that it is trying to be encrypted about it so that no one can even decode it even if they do hack it.
