Judging the Value of a Domain

There are several tools like the GoDaddy Valuation Tool, Estibot.com and NameWorth.com . Does anyone know of more? I think NameWorth is more accurate.

Who has gotten a professional appraisal of a domain name? How different was it from an online tool?

Online tools like Freevaluator.com allow a free preview of the domain's value. Factors like keywords, statistics, rankings, and the sales of similar domains are considered to determine the ranking.

NameWorth is probably the only one I have used in recent years. I am not big into domain buying though. I just go for what I need and what will be best for my personal projects. Some sites are just hobby sites that happen to earn a few bucks.

You can try Estibot, Valuate, or Website outlook to appraise the domain name. They do a comprehensive analysis and give you a detailed report. But it's always better to use some common sense before investing big on some domain name, just because it came at top of some search result.
