Often times we hear various persons make statements like
" I made the wrong choice " but is there actually a thing called " wrong choice?"
When thinking about it, you would discover that you are where you are right now simply because of the choices you made in the past, be it good or bad. We tend to tag some of our decisions and choices wrong or bad based on the results. When we get a good result, we classify it as good/right, but when we get the opposite results, we tag them wrong when in reality you picked a choice that didn't give you the required or expected result. Based on some research, personally I feel they are all choices irrespective of the results, because I am where I am today because of the choices I made, and these choices defines me.
What is your intake to this?

I think that people tend to say that they make the wrong choice because they have a certain element of regret that is associated with whatever they are doing or whatever they have done in the past. As a result I think that it is very difficult to actually think about it from a logical perspective in that moment in time. However I do not believe that anything that you do is a wrong choice but rather a learning lesson.

Yes there is a thing like making a wrong choice. It is when you have made the choices and gone ahead to carry out the actions that you get to see that you have made very terrible error in judgement

If everyone can develop this mentality of seeing past mistakes as a means of learning and becoming better versions of themselves, I believe there would be less regrets and More actions taken to correct these mistakes.

What about in a situation whereby two persons made the same choice but both ended with different results. Does this means it is the wrong choice for the one with a bad result?

I'd say all choices can be good or bad but lead us somewhere eventually. Half the time people don't know what they are doing or why they are doing it but it always leads somewhere so you have to see what that is exactly.

You are right on that angle, we tend to tag the choices that didn't work in our favour as the wrong choices and tag the one that works in favour as the right choices.
This is cool but thinking about this now. We can make choices and still give them tags.

Exactly, they are all choices in general with different results based on how we carry it out. We just simply tag them as right or wrong

Of course there is thing called wrong choice. Otherwise, why won't two candidates win an election since people made votes on them to win? But only one wins in the end

There are always two sides to a story and two sides to an outcome. When we make choices, it depends on the outcome. If the outcome is good, we claim to have made good choices easily. But bad outcomes do not mean we have poor choices but it didn't go the way we planned

The choices that we make define who we are. Good or bad we are here for that reason. So when we make choices, we should prepare for the outcome immediately. Things may go awry due to some unforeseen circumstances

I think this is largely depend on your perspective and your definition of wrong choice. as for me there is nothing like wrong choice it is just a way of knowing that you didn't choose the right path.

Can you further explain this illustration, as I don't seem to get it. Personally I feel in the case of an election the winner is simply based on who got more votes. The people are given the rights to choose and they made their choice

Think about your life for a moment. Every moment of success in your life has been a result of all your decisions combined, whether you call them bad or good, or right or wrong

In other words we tag our choices based on the final outcome

I think that if even if people have to regret stuff, a certain amount of regret can actually be considered to be quite healthy because it allows you to have the opportunity to reflect on what you have done and take away from it something very important.

In other words regret is an emotion that makes us humans and to show fort that emotion is completely normal. It becomes bad when we are not able to overcome and learn from it. Thank you so much for this.

This is exactly what I am saying because many people actually choose to let the regret control how they perceive the situation and as a result it can distort a few and lead to a lot of the motivation as well which is a major concern.

You cannot know the outcome of your decision until you make them. You marry someone based on your decision and you hope that person will be the best. You turned down a job offer because you want to be self-employed. You decide to place a buy trade because you think the market will rise. The outcomes of these depend if we make the right decision or not. No wrong choice but the wrong outcome and we learn from them.

Very true, wonderful contribution you have made to this topic.

I think you just answered the question yourself,A person definitely have a plan of action and it is to be executed, and he has already figure out the outcome of the course of his action, and eventually when things did not go as he has planed the outcome to be,then he can look back and say that is not the appropriate and layed out path to follow, then that becomes a wrong way of doing things.
