Is there such a thing as bad traffic?

I have heard of people mention this in passing but never in detail. I never considered any traffic to be bad, especially if you block countries that are notorious for spam and such. What do you think? Does bad traffic exist?

Of course, there is bad traffic. Traffic from traffic exchange sites, paid to click sites, and other software generate traffic is bad traffic. When traffic does not interact with the content on your site, it is a bad traffic. THis traffic is just a number, it will not help you to generate revenue.

Yea there is bad traffic, such traffic from unnecessary bots. It does affect revenue of a site also site ranking will be affected.

Yes, you can gain bad traffic from utilizing tools like @Beelzebub mentions in his post above. Fake traffic doesn't engage with your site usually, so all you'll see with fake traffic is people showing up and leaving. You want the traffic to stay on your site as long as possible.

All traffic is a number, it's keeping the good traffic around and interacting with your site is what matters.
