I've always renewed my domains before the due dates, but what happens exactly when you forget to renew right away? Is there a grace period to renew your domain? Or does it go up for sale once the due date lands?

I think that there should be a small grace period, or at the very least there should be a message that comes up in the final week that remind you to renew your contract with that domain in order to be able to keep it.

The domain company will definitely send you email notification telling you about your domain expiration period and if you fail to meet up with that particular time then they will definitely put it up for sale

I do not know about other domain registrars but on namechep you get a grace period of 30 days. You can renew the domain for 30 days grace period for the same listed price.

What happens after the grace period ends? Can you get back your domain after the grace period ends? I mean can you get back your domain after it expires, for what price can you get it back.

I believe their will always be grace to enable the website owner renewing his or her blog before full-time expiration. But it wouldn't last longer than expected.

I don't think that is very easy to come across your previous domain of which you have forgotten to renew at a very close time of which you have loss. the only advice is to go for another one is better than waiting for it.

The domain registrars normally give you a particular time for you to renew your domains and I don't think there is any Grace period after that before it will be fun open for others to buy.

Grace period in domains is the status that most TLDs enter following expiry. This period last between 0 and 45 days and often does not have an additional cost associated with it allowing a domain name to still be renewed at the regular rate.
