Since you need both a domain name and web hosting to start any type of website, it makes a lot of sense to purchase them together, so you can get the domain name for free. I have never head of anywhere where domain name is given for free. I learnt their are sites where domain name is sold. Except if your friend wants to give you for free. Good things don't always come freely.

You can't sell a domain name you get for free. You can get one as low as $9 on namecheap and GoDaddy and sell at higher rate on different market place like Dan and Epik. Domian flipping requires good knowledge to make profits from though.

Many of the free domain are free maybe in the internet there's so many of those you can just get one and also from the pre trial of the web hosting platform that if you use their domain they have a free for all in the first month of it or weeks a free trial.

You can get domains for free but they're usually tied to a web hosting deal or something along those lines. However it's also usually for one year only so you need to pay to keep it after a year. I mean, technically you can but there's always a catch because domain need renewing each year so you'll have to either pay at some point or lose it.

It is possible to create a domain name and sell. But having access to a free domain is what I don't know. However, I know that there are times when there is promo and they are sold at cheaper rates.

It depends on the type of domain you wanna get.There are some domain that you can actually get or create for free but i think if you wanna get top domain like .com then you won’t be getting it for free
