Is It Easy to Run General Discussion Forums

General discussion forums offer platform for everyone as these forums are for normal people to discuss on almost anything. You can talk about what you ate for breakfast or what do you do for a living or how do you manage your finances. I have one forum where you can talk about general topics. I have been running it for 18 months yet I do not even have 100 members. When I started the forum I though I would find a lot of users but that was not the case.It is still difficult even when your forum does not have a narrow niche.
