Is .Io and .to good enough domain extensions?

Most people tend to go with .net, .com, and a few others, but .io and .to are becoming popular domain extensions. Do you think it's a good idea to use a .io or .to extension?

I know dot io but I have never heard of dot to domain extension. AS far as I know, domain extension does not matter much, what actually matters is your domain name. That's because SEO value of a domain lies in the domain name. Domain extensions have different price attached due to the pricing policy of the companies who launch these extensions.

I don't think it matters with SEO to a large extent. Also, it's a very subjective matter. I wouldn't get worked up cause a lot of people don't like your choice or even if you choose to use a subdomain.

Isn't .io meant for apps and such? I am not sure what .to is meant to be used for but I don't think you want to use .io unless it involves some sort of game or app.
