This is because I open email for just a confirmation link and doesn't read any other email but I open social media for see what people are posting this is why social media marketing is more profesionnal.

Email is just for getting one confirmation link and confirm registration or sometimes there is no registration form at all just authorize from your gmail account by google plugin or facebook twitter plugin for some case yahoo or microsoft plugin for login.

Well I do think it is effective, today almost all companies have some type of advertising service or promotions sent through email and sometimes it is a good place to solve doubts or communicate with customers, every company should use it.

If there is certain kind of reward for looking in that email then everything should be nice like IPWEB Ru rewarding users for reading internal emails and may having someone interested but I could confirm my email is plenty of Bizdustry, ForumCoin, PostBucks, RIF, Trendri, Insured Forum, LumoxChange, Casino Forum, ForumPromtion notifications so I just use for just a confirmation link while sign up so I do not open for more than that purpose.

You don't open emails does not mean people do not check the emails they receive. I am not talking about someone's personal experience.

It is not the same for everyone, some people are subscribed to some websites because they want to receive emails from them, email marketing is not for everyone, it is very effective only for targeted audience who already know about your business, services or website.

But the reality is not that, anyone registered to your website receives your newsletter regardless they accept or not and unsubscribe from newsletters means delete of your account this is how websites are operating nowadays this is the sad truth.

I absolutely hate that crap. I set up filters in my email provider to just go ahead and trash emails that match certain keywords in their emails. I hate it, and I'm sure others do too, so I wouldn't want to advertise like that.

I have also seen a lot of people who use email marketing and it did not work for them. It depends on the kind of business you are promoting. Social media marketing is better.
