Certain instruments and additional things that you require to play music can sometimes be extremely costly. It's not always easy to transport them easily either so sometimes it can be risky to take them wherever you are going due to the danger of them being stolen or even damaged. So to avoid this, have you ever considered getting insurance for your equipment?

Yeah, definitely, property insurance is a good move for drummers - or any other musician with expensive/mildly expensive stuff. Anyway, unfortunately, I just haven't gotten around to buy it - but my set and amp did cost nearly $500.

From what I have seen and known, not a lot of companies offer the insurance on the equipment. And it can be pretty depressing not able to cover your stuff.

Actually, this is one thing that most of us forget.

I still remeber when we had a very famous sitar player had his sitar damaged due to air travel and had to cancel a concert in France.

A professional setup could cost as much as a decent house with decent land.
