I can totally relate to this, at a certain time I preferred honey to sugar, it was like I was addicted to it. I used it almost everyday. I have learnt another new way from you. The one I know is that if you put honey on the floor, ants cannot go there. And if you put it in water, it won't sink. That's the method I have been using.

Originality of honey can be tested by burning and through water test.
Take a teaspoon of the honey and put in a glass full of water. Fake or adulterated honey will dissolve in the water while pure honey which has a more dense texture will settle right at the bottom of the glass as lumps. The same is the case with blotting paper or a white cloth

Exactly, this is why honey is a hot commodity because it has multiple purposes which it serves, thereby making its demand very high. Come to think of it, original honey now is very expensive and bee farms are hard to find lately. The best way to check the honey that it is pure or fake. Take a glass of water and pour down a spoon of honey if it stretches in it then its fake otherwise pure.

Well identifying fake honey is quite easy by checking it features, original honey is mostly sticky in texture, if it not sticky as a tickly sticky then it is not an original honey. This is the way I recognise my own original honey and it has always worked for me.

I never knew about how one can detect the fake honey from the real one till today. I have not been using honey because of this issue, but with this revealing aspect of how I can find out the fake one from the real ones. I think I should give it a try.
