Improving organic traffic by the domain

Do you think the purchase of a .com (or any purchased domain) would have significant impact on the organic traffic?

I think it does, a short and easily remembered domain will maintain a constant returning traffic. It is also easily crawled by large search engines such as Google and Yahoo!

Top Level Domain does not affect organic traffic, however, the second level domain significantly affects traffic. Therefore, you should focus on better second level domain instead of first level domain.

The .com is always considered as the king and I believe even Google and other SEO factors usually rate .com higher than other extensions.

The keywords of the domain also help to rank high.

A .com is easier to remember!! I rarely think in terms of other extensions until I try to go to a site and some foreign site comes up instead of the one I wanted. Then I have to think of whether it's .net or .org, etc...
