If you won the lottery, would you quit your job?

I will only quit my job if I am interested to start a business. I don't just see the need for you to quit your job without any purpose after you have won a lottery . Also if careful planning for the money is not arrange , you may not likely have anything tangible to do with it before it vanishes

I will definitely need it to have one something like five hundred thousand dollars before I am going to consider leaving my job because winning a lottery does not really mean much.

First of all how much money am I making from the lottery in the first place. If it is a lot of money then I am definitely going to consider leaving my work because I am working for money in the first place.

I quitting my present job because I win a lottery can be as a result of not initially being interested in the job that is if I was just managing it. But if it is something I find passion doing I won't think of quitting.

If I win lottery right now and I definitely quit my job but with enough notice. To start my dream logistics business. I will seek the services of a financial consultant on how to invest the rest of the money.
That is a very good idea in terms of managing resources, because whether we like it or not,the need for good quality advice is very paramount and important when it comes to the aspect of managing how to replicate the money.

Winning a lottery does not really mean that I wouldn't focus on my main way of making money. I will still continue to make money but at the same time I will still be planning the best way to use my lottery fund for something that will benefit me for a very long time or forever .

Wining a lottery is not a means to quit a business. That is just like a bonus that you just have to add to your portfolio. Personally I will still work and invest the money on something reasonable

I would definitely still want to work on something. but I think I would be more lenient with my goals.

well, it depends on the amount involved. To be realistic, I think I would quit if the amount of money involved is quite huge in comparison to the salary I am being paid for working.

If you are quitting then you have to start up a business or any other profitable venture that will help you make money . Quitting to enjoy the money without working hard to replace the lost money is not the best.

no, because money is temporary
some day I'd have to work again and that would be harder than just continuing working after winning

You have made a great point here. It will not be advisable to quit your current job without having something else to do just because you were lucky to win a lottery.

This was in the case of winning a lottery. Normally a responsible person should continue working and use the money he or she has won for something profitable. That's what matters.

It actually depends on the amount of money we are talking about here and how passionate I am about the work I do. You will agree with me that there are jobs we do which are infact a source of physical and psychological stress to us but we have no choice since there's no viable alternative.
So if that's actually the case, then I will gladly quit the job unless otherwise.

I wouldn't quit my job because I love being a Police Officer but it would definitely make my life a ton easier.

It depends on the amount of money I win. If the money is big I would definitely use it to start my own business and employ people. The amount of salary in the job also matters.

It depends on the amount. If it is a huge sum of money, then I would quit my job and set up my own business because it is very important to invest.

I may not even participate in the lottery schemes in the first place. There are many lottery schemes that are actually scam. Moreover, I think that lottery is a kind of unfair means to make money.

Though i will still continue and upgrade my business if I win a lottery because the main reason why i am working in another organisation is to secure my business future , so i will definitely quit my job if I win a lottery and face my business.

If you won the lottery, would you quit your job? I wouldn't leave my job if I won millions on the UK Lottery, especially at a young age! I would instead opt into working part-time (4-12 hours a week) because I'm somebody who needs a purpose to carry on. What about you?
I would probably not leave my job either but this is even dependent on some factors. If the job is not my passion, then leaving and resigning will only be a matter of time before i pursue my passion and make money out of it

I will never quit that pretty job if it happens that I won a lottery worth millions of naira. I would rather do the same, gain Advantage of part time job and start a good side investment for my retirement.
That would be in a situation where the money is not adequate, suppose one has the oppourtunity to win an amount that can fully cover his salary for years, then what would happen to your present job.
