I've used wordpress before but I don't really like it. I want a news or article management cms that is customizable like wordpress but offers more functions article wise.

Wordpress is a good content management system and it's the best out there. Still, not many people like it for one reason or the another. Personally I prefer wordpress as it is responsive by default, otherwise I will go with blogger which is the second famous CMS out there.

So, I would recommend blogger to people who don't like wordpress.

I mean, I want a news management cms, wordpress is kind-of like it but not exactly what i'm looking for, i'm looking for something that's made just for news.

WordPress is the best you'll find. The other two that I've seen are Drupal and Joomla are supposedly comparable, but I haven't used them enough to tell you whether or not they're any good.

Wordpress will do exactly that; it's rather flexible. Just pick up a newspaper related theme and you're good to go.

As everyone else has said, Wordpress is really your best choice. Joomla is a close second, but I only have a little experience in using it,

If Wordpress and Joomla aren't what you want, though, CuteNews might work. It sounds like it is what you are looking for - a news management CMS. I have only seen a handful of sites using it though, and I have never used it myself, so I have no idea what features it has or how it works. It can be found at http://cutephp.com/
