Starting a business in a foreign country could be a really huge challenge. This is because when you start a company or a business in a different country, you may be subjected to different laws. You have to follow the rules and regulations of that particular country. Having said that, starting a business in a foreign country may be profitable. This is because you target international markets.

First and foremost, you need to see what kind of laws are there in the country where you are trying to start a business. There are many countries that give you concessions if you bring in a lot of money as FDI. Some countries even give you citizenship if you are starting a big business.

Yeah it really comes down to what country/state you're in. I myself live in the US, but if I were to travel to another country to establish a business there, I would have to follow that countries room. Toss the rules for the US side, because each country has their own laws, regulations and so on. Best way I can put it, is to research those laws and rules before moving to that country.

I have heard that there are many multinational companies that are based in the U.S. However, they still need to follow certain laws that have their origins in the U.S. So, they need to pay taxes to the U.S government as well.

I believe that the best way forward when it comes to trying to start up a business in another country is to find out the rules and regulation that guide starting any kind of business in that country. After that, you should make sure that you have the legal documents completed before venturing into the business.
