How to improve support system on forums?

There are many forums that may have a support system. This involves opening support tickets if you need assistance. So, what are some of the best ways to improve the support system on the forums?

If you have many support system in your forum but few staff who are active to handle the support tickets started by your forum members, the support system is not active. It's wrong to leave a support ticket pending for more than 3 hours without a response.

You can offer different kinds of support systems on your forum, either through onpage support system or through off page support system. Ticket or posting on support forums are on page support, where as email, social media chat, etc. are off page support. I only use email support system.
