Multinationals are hiring people with tech skills these days. That's why if you desire a job in a multinational, the first requirements is that you must have a tech skill.
Multi-national companies are not only tech companies and they are not only looking for tech staff but also staff on other career fields such as administrative work, marketing, product development etc.

There are many multinational companies in my city. I once got an offer to work at such kind of company. However, the job stress was just too much. So, I decided that I shall not work in there.
I think what many multinational companies comes with a lot of stress and i have seen a few people in this part of the world who complained of bad working condition in a Chinese company.

You are also very correct with that assessment as well because I know a lot of people who are into freelancing and they are more specialised in IT Department which give them opportunity to get a lot of jobs that they do on their own and get paid very well.
 
IT skills is something that is always in demand globally which is why a lot of people are putting a lot of time into studying and learning new SKILLS. This is because it is what those multinational companies are always looking for whenever they are hiring.

There are many students and young people who are pursuing courses in the field of Information and technology, as this field has great scope in the end for many enthusiasts.
