Your business name should also have a domain name. The most difficult thing when it comes to register a domain name for your business is the choosing the right domain extension. There are over 1600 options and it is confusing what should you go with. One easy idea is to choose a domain extension that matches your business name. Certain extensions are better suited to certain types of businesses. For example, if you're a law firm, a ".law" domain might be a good choice, or if you're a TV company, a ".tv" domain could work well.

To get a great domain for your business, follow these essential steps:
  1. Brainstorm: Consider your business name, industry, and unique aspects to create a list of potential domain names.
  2. Research: Check domain name availability using online tools or registrars to ensure it's not already taken or infringing on trademarks.
  3. Choose a relevant extension: Opt for popular extensions like .com or consider country-specific ones (.co.uk, .de) based on your target audience.
  4. Register your domain: Secure your chosen domain through a reputable domain registrar and consider registering for multiple years to maintain ownership.

If you're into branding in the US or some global thing, at the least, you should go with a .com because it's easier to remember. Also, you can brand the website without having to emphasize the .com part of the name. For instance, HotCoolCars.biz would need the .biz in the ads, but HotCoolCars.com would only need "Hot Cool Cars" with spaces between the words.

The best thing about dot com is it is a default extension for browsers as well as people. This is the advantage dot com has over other extensions. But sadly, dot com being most used extension, it is really difficult to get a seo friendly domain or keyword rich domain.
