How to Find if a Domain is Blacklisted?

When a domain is blacklisted, it will not be ranked on search engines. A domain is blacklisted for a lot of reasons, including spamming, scamming, phishing, etc. When you are buying an old domain, you need to check whether it is blacklisted or not. How do you find out if the domain is blacklisted or not? What tools do you use? I use MXToolBox.

I have only ever used MXToolBox when looking at domains to ensure they have not been blacklisted. They have been solid and accurate and I have not had any reason to look for any others at the moment.

It would be nice to know if anyone else has used anything else though as I feel you can never have too many options.

yeah, it would be nice if someone shared about other tools. I am also curious to know if is there any chance of blacklist removal, something like submitting an appeal.
