If the assets give you a fixed return, it is low risk investment. However, if the asset does not promise any kind of return, it can be high risk. When I say "give you a fixed return" I am not referring to ponzi schemes, OI am referring to the assets like bonds, fixed deposit bank accounts, certificate of deposits, etc.
