You termed it a residual income but I would call it a passive income. The article is informative and very incisive. My intention is to start blogging next year. I wish to make you my mentor.

The field of literature offers a plethora of possibilities. While each writer's journey is unique, there are some characteristics that all authors share. The desire to earn a decent living through writing is a widespread trait. Imagine having such faith in your writing that missing a week of work has no effect on your revenue! Well, this fantasy isn't too far off the mark.

Writing is one of the few areas that will help you build residual income. Residual income is the income that is generated constantly from the work you have done in the past even when you don't work every day in the present. In other words, you will continue to earn in the present and future from the writings you have done in the past, without reworking on it.
How to build residual income by writing
Write and publish books
The generally accepted rule is you receive 20 percent royalties from your book. In other words, whenever your book sells you will receive at least 20 percent of the cover price. For a lot of professional writers, royalties are the main source of income. This 20 percent royalty rule applies everywhere in the traditional publishing house, as well as an online publishing platform. If you publish Kindle books, Amazon will give you uto 70 percent royalty. If you are a writer you should consider building residual income by publishing books.
Blogging
Bogging is another area that helps writers generate residual income. Your blogging will continue to earn for a long time. In fact, as long as your blog is live, you will be earning from your blog. How to make your blog successful is another topic of discussion.
Publishing on Article sites
Publishing on article sites also builds a residual income. I have a friend who is earning from hubpages, one of the reputed writing sites, from the articles he wrote in 2012. There are a lot of writing sites that you can try your hands for residual income.
Blogging and publishing of articles is one way to generate good residual income.
I have a friend who makes residual income through blogging; she gets paid when her contents are downloaded by viewers.

Blogging is one of the ways to build residual income for yourself if you are a writer. It will be pretty much easier to grow your blog and she will be able to crack out content consistently for your audience.

That is true. This fantasy is truly not too far off the mark. It can be achieved through working smart, being patient and consistent in the work.

You can publish different books in your area of expertise and make them available for sales on Amazon Kindle publishing store. You are going to make residual income in this way.

I have managed to build residual income by publishing on Hubages. I started on hubpages a decade ago. I receive payment from Hubpages regularly even though I have not published a new article for many years.

It is difficult to earn on hubpges, it hs a high threshold, it might take even a year or two for a new writer to reach the payment threshold of $50

Even though I am not writing at the moment, I must commend you for taking your time to put up such a long and educating information above about writing. I totally agree with you. You have made the explanation so simple that even anyone can start writing immediately. Thanks for sharing.

This is the most “passive” of any of the passive income ideas appearing on this list.

An online course generates passive income by sharing the things you’re passionate about with people who want to learn them.

More skill-sharing platforms pop up every single year, and while there are different bells and whistles with each, they all work very similarly: You create a class, sell it and get the majority cut of the selling price for every person who takes it.

Affiliate marketing programs reward you for each customer sent from your blog or personal website to an online merchant. In order to receive payment, the customer must click the link directly on your website and make a purchase

I have been looking for many ways to make money through writing and i have discovered that there are not many such kind of great writing platforms for writers living in lower Tier countries. I think there should be at least a few revenue sharing sites that offer some opportunities.

Very interesting to have known this. I have a friend that works with happen.com. This guy have been living life making his living from solely writing. The guy introduce me to some money online writing sites where I registered.

I'll agree that the best method and probably the only I'll consider is the write and publish on Amazon or by myself. Or better still I grow my freelancing brand where I can charge for the articles or work I put out.

Very impressive article written by you. Yes this is everywhere and profit is damn if you write a book and that book sale will be too much. Blogging is also best way for writers at online level. But if you are a good writer in specific fiekd, then estimate that what people want so by writing that book you can earn livelihood.

You can write ebooks and put private label right on them. Private label right means whoever buys the eBook can use it the way they want. And you're a lot of people out there who are looking for a place to buy private label right ebook to use as your own. you can also write a lot of books and published them on Amazon Kindle publishing store.

On the topic under discussion, you have actually written a lot.
That was a good essay.
If you have the necessary skills to be a very, very good writer, writing is a good job.
There are people out there who write for a living.

Now a days I'm just writing on bizdustry which one of my favorite legit website and giving me money as well instead of wasting my time like other som of scam websites.
