There are several forclosed homes that come onto the market but they only allow you to see pictures online. You can't go to the property and look it over before bidding. This means you can be bidding on a property that will need thousands in repair. How risky is it to bid on a house you cannot visit?

It depends on if you fully trust you real estate agent to deliver a good job, but it would be more advisable to have a first hand visit to the property you may wish to purchase so you can know if it fits your spec.

Before you bid for house, it's advisable you see the picture of it's interior and exterior. Ordinarily, there's no how you'll buy a house that's 100% perfect, let no deceive ourselves. However, it's risky to buy a house that you do not visit. But the risk can be minimized by buying from reputable management.

It is very very risky. You'll not be able to monitor your property or know when and areas to improve on in terms of renovation. Either you're there or someone's there on your behalf, you need to know what's going on.

It's dangerously risky to bid for a house you can not visit , because you might be seeing exactly what the seller want you to see , and their might be some bad aspect of the house that has been hiding from you,
That's why you have to see and check on what you are planning to buy before payment .

If you are buying a property, you will have to go on a house inspection, if possible you will have to take an expert, possibly an engineer or a contractor to make the true assessment of the property. If you do not visit the house and if you end up buying it, it is very likely that you are paying more than the price.
