How often do you change the water filter at home?

When I lived in my mother's house, the water supply system there was very old, so the filter was often clogged and had to be changed every month, and nothing could be done about it. I have a TV in the apartment where I moved, which was built a few years ago, everything is very new, so the filter remains clean even after two months.
