How might your website go down?

How about where the main part goes down but not connected folders? Of course, we are assuming other sites on your hosting are not off the air at all either.

What about other scenarios where all your sites go down or just your main domain?

If you forget to pay to renew your hosting or your domain, and ignore the renewal reminders then your site will go down. Other than server issues of course, and in some cases DDOS attacks.

Mine is a 500 error but my other sites work well on the same hosting. I suppose I need to increase my php limit. It is a Xenforo forum I got on the site but the other sites have phpBB. Also, I still have the old phpBB forum on the troubled domain. It is on another folder and it has no problems.

Or you could look at the error logs to see what the problem is…?
