How many staff members are too many for a small forum in your opinion? What are the factors that webmasters need to consider? Activity? Forum Statistics? Or,"x" amount of messages or members?

Instead of focusing on the number, I think you should check the jobs done. If there is a lot of work to be done, you are under staffed, if there are no assignments, you are over staffed. Staffing should depend on your resources.

When considering the number of staffs in an organization, one must consider the quality of service they are rendering and the input and output they have in the organization. This and many other factors is to be considered before saying the staff is toomuch, they becomes toomuch when the expenditure outweighs the revenue that comes into the organization.

I am not a webmaster, but I believe that the number of staff members, goes hand in hand with the daily activities that are performed on the site and its demand. It also depends on the ability of the manager or owner to solve the situations that arise related to the forum.

In my own view, advertising, numbers of members, response to thread, activity should be other factors to consider when recruiting staff for a forum or webmaster service. Adequate evaluation should also be carried out to know if it is effective.

It's not easy to find a capable staff member because this job needs activity, care, responsibility, vision....
For the number of staff you should have for small forums, I see that 2 with the admin will be enough to control everything. I guess

I'm not an expert on this but I did think that Trendri could have done with an extra moderator purely because of the volume of spam that poured in. It only had the owner and one moderator. Do moderators work for free? I suppose it depends on how well the forum runs with just two or three people. If everything is going smoothly the balance is probably about right.

Depends on the admin and the kind or how many members he or she want to work with, because I don't have a forum yet so I couldn't say much about how many members a small forum should have but no member is not working for the forum in one way or the other. So I will push all thee questions to a small forum admin to tell us how many members is okay for a forum.

I do not have any staff, I am managing all of my 15 website by myself. However, I do hire virtual assistants for digital marketing and content development from time to time.

For you to be able to know how many staff is too much, you have to check your payroll and see if the payment this too much for you and it is reducing your income

You shouldn't worry about how many staff members are too much but rather what amount of staff members would you need for your business size that should be adequate

This will greatly depend on the size of your business to be sure of the required number of staff the business would need.

For a business or websites with too many members, reasonable amount of staff like let's say 5-10 is okay since most things done are by computer.

There are over 7 thousand members on Bizdustry who create hundreds of posts every day. In a site like this one I think you need a half a dozen staff members to moderate content and provide support

It will depend on the revenue and the designated duties to be carried out. As many workers as are relevant and needful for the effective running of the site

How many staff members too much, depends on the capacity of the business organization, either a small business organization or large business group.

in considering the number of staff its advisable you consider the available work to be done so to avoid over staffing, or under staffing because one of this mentioned can lead to business failure either much expenses on staff or lack of staff to perform a task.

It actually depend on the forum or website you are running. If your forum or website has gained a lot of popularity and more and more members are joining your forum or website, then you might actually need to hire more and more members to manage the website. If your forum or website is small, then you can hire the staff memebers accordingly. It all depends on how popular or big your online business is.

Absolutely no staff member is too many and none is too small, it all depends on the size of your business. Every organization has the required workmanship needed to drive their operations to success.

It depends on the financial strength of the business that will determine the numbers of staff that is too much for the website. If you can't pay for more than ten staff don't employ fifteen it will be a disaster.
