How lenient are you as a staff member? (Forums)

It really depends how they make mistakes and if it is minor mistake than it is always good for you to talk with members and explain them about their mistakes so they can learn form it and correct it.

One of the best forum admins I've ever come across is Alex of bizdustry. This guy is visionary and focus leader. He doesn't take nonsense but yet he is very lenient. Many a time the members will commit some offences, he will punish the offense but if you apologize to him he will pardon.

I'm not a staff member in any forum. But if I am a staff member, I will be lenient to some aspect because I know different persons have different opinion on a topic.

Let's just say, I'm as lenient as I should be. I have one forum that I run, and I only have a small crew of people working it. A couple forum mods, along with 1 extra admin alongside me. The other two are super mods (as I call them) as they can deal with every section of the forum that typical mods can't.

But yeah, they have their rules to follow and for the most part, my crew on the forum is pretty good at their jobs. Most of them have been with me for around 5 years now, so I'm happy with their results.

I am not a staff member of any foreign but if I happens to be a staff member of a forum I will not be lenient on the members of such forums because some of these members can misbehave and if you decide to be showing them some leniency they will keep on overdoing it.

In our forum (Bizdustry), we try to give the users many chances, even break the rules to let them learn from their mistakes, but they won't, and make another mistake in the future, then we will ban them without question.

We're trying to be friendly and more understood with all our members.

Respected Sir, I have never broken any rules of the Bizdustry forum and I have never received any warning from the Bizdustry admin. Indeed, I am a loyal and devoted member of the forum. This is because Bizdustry is one of the biggest sources of my income and I rely much on Bizdustry. In fact, I also encourage others to do the same.

How sites or earning forums are pretty straight forward. Everyone should respect and obey the rules that are being set in place. You forgive once or rice though for same person.

It is very important to state out the rules and guidelines on a platform, and any responsible person should be able to know and abide by those rule,in the case of defaulters, they can be pardoned on first time bases, but when it is reapeated then you have to remove them from yhe platform.

As a subsciber Of a forum you must be very consistent and follow the guidelines of that platform or follow in order for you to be able to achieve your goal of describing in such forums.

Following guidlines in a forum is important, some forum do not condorn even first time offenders,i belong to a proffesional body forum, their rules are very strick.Any defaulter is just removed immediately from the platform.

From a forums perspective, most staff members on forums have had to deal with at least one form of rule breaking from members, even if it was something minor. But I was wondering, how do you deal with people who break those big/important rules (such as no posting adult content/illegal stuff)? Do you remove the content and give them a warning? or do you give them an automatic suspension/short ban for posting it at all? Do you base your decision on the particular member and their history?

For me, if it's a bigger rule (such as the above) then long-standing member or not, you broke the big one and that means you're getting the boot. For more minor rule breaks, I will take into account the situation and the member at hand to see if I do need to do anything a bit more severe (like a mute etc.)
If the member is posting adult content then it will be banned lifetime because this is not respecting community and you know that a board is visited by many people this will rank down the community and may you will get your board banned by your hoster so it is a big damage.
However if he is posting illegal tricks it will be an editing of the message.

No worries, if you're not able to be patient and help your usernames then you don't deserve to be a manager in any job.

Don't worry, it's my duty.

I believe every forum has its rules by which they follow. Tho in such cases, i believe the said content should be deleted and a warning should be given to the offender. If he does it again, then one can easily believe its a deliberate action. The persons account can be suspended and deletef later on if the same thing happens

Bravo to you and I can see that you are one of the best moderator on this platform. The fact that you are so patient with the members on this platform says a lot about your character.

I believe staff members should be at least lenient to a stage, I am not saying they should condone nonsense or bad behavior but what I am just saying is they should be reasonable with members. That is why many members here on bizdustry are still there, there are other forums that pays too but I personally don't feel comfortable with most of them, I think it's because of the way members are being treated there.

It's not easy to work with human beings right? I suggest a grace period of 3-5 chances be given before taking final disciplinary action.

I am a forum staff member at cash time forum, I'll simply say I'm lenient when it comes to banning members. I give warning first, so the user will improve and stop breaching rules.

If I were to start a forum, I would be as lenient as Bizdustry staff is. I am quite dedicated to this forum and I have never made a single trash post in here and I have never been fined. ever. I would expect the same thing from my fellow members who earn at the forum.
