How fun is magic?

I've never gotten into Magic, besides an old xbox original game Magic Battle grounds I think is what it's called. Nonetheless, how fun is magic, and is it worth it to delve into such an expensive TCG that forces you to buy the latest decks?

honestly it’s probably the cheapest now a days because of all the scrappers grabbing Pokémon yugioh and now Digimon off the shelves you.. Magic is the only TCG that still has their cards on the shelves at retail stores at normal price!

not sure how they force you to buy the latest deck? You do not have to have the latest decks to compete actually the older stuff custom built decks are 10x more powerful then the new decks…

Unfortunately , I don't have many people to play with but I have played a few times
with a few friends , it is awesome , I have some decks

it a game for all ages
