How do you run your forum?

I think I'll start by doing alot of Marketing. And then making my refferal bonuses very attractive to my users. It will help in boosting membership. I will also get a team of dedicated members to deal with spams.

I was just wondering how you guys all run your forum.

Like, what do you guys do to prevent spam, keep the forum populated, and everything that involves owning it.

I think this will be a very interesting topic.
This topic really is very interesting. If I own a forum, I will give higher amount of money. For example instead of giving 20 biznotes for every post I will give 1000 biznotes.

For the forums I own, I always have spam filters. I also have filters blocking out offensive words and some offensive content. As for getting traffic to my site. I've done a lot of giveaways in the past. Not ideal, but it gives you a boost in traffic, and you might get some sign-ups. I also have one other moderator on my main forum, as I don't have the time to keep an eye on it for the most part.

Sometimes I think forum owners should aim for quality over quantity. In other words, a small number of members should produce high-quality content, rather than many members producing low-quality content.

I come to this thread in search of solutions.
I'm interested in learning how to run a website.
I'm interested in learning how others promote their websites, combat spam, and make money.
One day, I intend to create my website.

I don't have a forum yet, but a relative does, and I occasionally assist him run it because I don't have the time to do it myself. The way I used to run this forum was by setting aside some time to moderate it and writing most of the forum's content.

If your relative has an online forum, then it would be a great idea to learn many things. You can even pay people to comment on the forum and also earn advertisement revenue as well,.

The major difficulty I have is getting regular posters. Since I do not have paid to post forum getting people to post on the site is the most difficult thing. IN order to over come this issue I sometimes buy posting packages.
