How do you handle account deletion requests?

Do you allow members to request the deletion of their account and do you actually delete the accounts? I know several forums that refuse to delete user accounts.

If a user requests an account deletion, then I delete the account. I mean, the account and it's information does belong to the user and I'm not so concerned about statistics that I'd complicate over few people who actually request their account to be deleted.

A lot of admins don't think the same way. I've seen far too many forums refuse to delete user accounts.
