One aspect of forum running and management is also dealing with your membership base. There's always going to be a possibility of having some sort of chaos lf your members are not well managed. There are bound to he troublesome members and you need the right human management to keep them in line so as not to have them banned over a short period of time.

What are the strategies you employ in managing your membership base?

I manage like anyone else. I keep a close eye on my forums, but also have super mods and mods who help tackle all of that. If things start to get crazy, I'll keep a very close eye on things. If anyone breaks the rules, they get fair warnings, and if it continues, they get put on a temp ban. If they continue after the first temp ban, then we set another temp ban, this time a final chance. If they break the rules again, a final ban is set in motion and it's a permaban at that point.

I take my forums seriously, and when people break the rules, they are reprimanded accordingly.

It is the same advice that I give to anyone who decides to run a community as well because once you start on such projects, you must make sure that you are heavily invested in it so that everything should be done with utmost care. It is very important to have a very good staff team that is going to help you to do everything right as you are not be able to do everything by yourself.

Your approach of closely monitoring the forum and having a team of super mods and mods to assist in enforcing the rules is a good practice. Issuing warnings and temporary bans for rule violations is a fair way to handle misconduct. Giving users multiple chances to rectify their behavior demonstrates a willingness to promote a positive and inclusive community environment.

It is also very important for you to encourage your members to help and report contents that are not in line with the platforms rules and guidelines. This is because that is the only way you and your mods will be able to see everything and take care of them before they get out of hand.
