On Windows, I can say I simply hate getting updates. But on linux, I <3 it! :D
I don't know whats the mysterious reason behind this.! :/

So what about you?

Windows - Update in 4 hours > repeat > never update = DIE WINDOWS
Mac - Ohai, you have a software update > Always update for I am a Mac Fanboy as you know
Linux - Ah what the hell do I know about that.

I've never had an issue with windows updates. They go about smoothly for me. Guess I'm lucky. Lol.

Its smooth for me too. But as Brutux and sam said it, you're not getting nothing new. Even after a hefty time consuming updates and restart, you boot up the system to see nothing new. I believe thats why I hate it!

well, that is somewhat true. Windows updates usually fix the stuff that's behind the scenes. It doesn't really bother me actually. An unoatxhed windows installation is a windows installation that *may* be part of a botnet.
