How do you guys avoid the day to day distractions when working from home? Do you often have trouble working on a schedule? Do you ever procrastinate? How do you avoid those? For me I schedule my days to make sure I get my main work done almost right away. What about you though? How do you avoid distractions working from home?

I have a separate room and no one disturbs me. If you are an online worker, then you must have a separate room where you could possibly work comfortably with the peace of your mind. Communicating with others and making them understand your problem is also very important.

I have an office at my home. I do not let anyone enter my office and when I am working, I do not even go and receive guests. I do not attend phone calls unless they are from my clients and customers. I start early, at 4 in the morning so that no one is awake to disturb me.

You may not get distracted, especially if you live in a completely different area of your home. This is the case with me. I live in a room which is located upstairs and this prevents distraction a lots of time. However, some relatives may disturb me many times while I am working and this annoys me.

People don't actually know it is very challenging working from home because of so many distractions that you're going to have especially if you are not living alone and is the reason why it is recommended for you to have a separate work space where you usually stay whenever you have works to do.

Here are some strategies to help you stay focused and more productive while working from home:

✔️Create a dedicated workspace that is solely for work-related activities. It will help you focus on your work.

✔️Establish a consistent daily routine

✔️To minimize distractions, inform your family members about your work schedule and ask for minimal interruptions during those work hours.

It is always very important for you to work with a schedule whenever you are working from home because that is what will make sure that you continue being able to carry out all the necessary work that you have on your desk and not miss out on anyone. Having your own workspace will do you a lot of good.

I am some one who works from home and one of the hardest things in the beginning is to stay focused on your work and not be distracted by anything else that may be in your house such as the TV, a game console or even being able to go on other websites that are not work related which will then distract you from your work.

I used to be bad for procrastinating when I first started and I had to really push myself to get out of that so that I got my work done. I am better at it now but I do feel I still have a little ways to go.

Seriously, procrastinating will have doing nothing if you're not careful. I think that just about most of us have been there at one point when we started working online. I had the problem with reading when I was still in the university. It's when there's limited time to read I would rush read my books.

I used to visit an office which is owned by my uncle and i used to worm there. I used to get distracted a lot. However, now I have started to work from home and i have a separate room. You must focus a lot when it comes to working and only then you would be able to work.

There's a friend of mine who's only interested in working at night. He sleeps for the most part of the day and when it's nightfall when others have slept, that's when he will start working. At that time, there won't be any kind of distraction for him.

If you don't eliminate all the distraction you're likely to have in your house while working at home, you can't prevent it from happening. I try not to take any video calls whenever I'm working from home because it will take me off work until I'm done with with the call. It's a big distraction I won't have.

Personally for me, all kinds of calls are distractions to me. It doesn't matter if it's a normal call or video call which is the worst, they all have me distracted in one way or another. Before I take any calls, it's something that's very important which can't he talked through chats.

This could be a personal preference of many people. However, staying up late at night is definitely a really bad thing for sure and this could have a really bad effect on health. I have also noticed that whenever I sleep early, I wake up fresh and I feel more energetic. So, sleeping early is the key to having great health.

Night shift workers sleep during the day and work at night. They have swapped their mornings for their nights. There's nothing like having their health compromised like this as long as they don't skip sleeping in the day.

To avoid unnecessary distractions, I work mostly early in the morning and also late at night and this is just how I do it. I make sure to always remind myself why I'm doing what I'm doing in the first place which is to be financially independent.

It is something that definitely applies to only him because that is when he find it convenient and comfortable to carry out any kind of job that he needs to do online. But as for me, it's not something that I will always have to put myself through unless there's a reason why I need to stay up awake in the night to do any kind of work.

In general I try to focus only on what I am doing at that moment, without listening to music without seeing anything in the background and being in a quiet place that helps me to be relaxed and concentrated, working with music can be good actually, but it depends on the music, there are some music that deconcentrate you, I do not advise you to have a background TV or that you are in a place where there is a lot of noise, that is essential, and if you can and do not need it, move the phone away from you.
