I think that offering discount coupons is one of the best ways to make yourself look different. You could also offer a "buy one, get one free" kind of offer as well where you offer exclusive products to people who could become your regular customers as well.

As long as it is not something your competitors are doing, it is always going to give you an edge in getting more customers who are going to be interested in patronizing your product and services all the time.
