I've noticed that when any holidays approach, a person's state of mind begins to change immediately before the holiday, but mostly on the day of the holiday. It's unusual that we attach significance to a particular day, causing us to alter our consciousness so that we feel happy and excited.
Holidays pass, that feeling passes, and we continue with the ups and downs of our mood.
If that's the case, if we can autosuggestively change our state of mind to be joyful, why doesn't a person do this every day? Why do we allow ourselves to only feel that joy on specific days of the year? Is this how we've been conditioned or what?
