I've noticed that when any holidays approach, a person's state of mind begins to change immediately before the holiday, but mostly on the day of the holiday. It's unusual that we attach significance to a particular day, causing us to alter our consciousness so that we feel happy and excited.

Holidays pass, that feeling passes, and we continue with the ups and downs of our mood.

If that's the case, if we can autosuggestively change our state of mind to be joyful, why doesn't a person do this every day? Why do we allow ourselves to only feel that joy on specific days of the year? Is this how we've been conditioned or what?

I think it is quite difficult for an ordinary person to change their mood to pleasure, the stress of everyday life and problems usually cloud your mind and you are not able to establish other thoughts that make you change your mood, some people manage to master this, I think meditation, Mindfulness, physical exercise, visiting nature constantly, and others can help make it easier to change your mood.

But holiday achieve that super easy, with no particular preparation for it.

I think even a holiday or a special occasion cannot change someone's mood, especially if they're not feeling well from the inside. And sometimes, there are days when you feel so calm and satisfied with your life, even though nothing new or different is happening that day. Human behaviors are quite complicated to understand easily.

You're right, maybe it's something subconscious, when the Christmas holidays or any other type of vacation arrives, people completely disconnect from their problems and only think about the free time they are going to have and associate that with the absence of problems, I don't know, I really don't know much about psychology

The feeling is different when it comes to holiday celebrations like Christmas. There is an innate feeling of joy in embracing the spirit of Christmas hearing the songs, the ambiance, the aura, and the mood of the people. Despite financial difficulties, people still feel that inevitable happiness which means hope for the next year.

It is not easy to adjust during holidays, but I believe that adjusting is very important. We need to know what state of mind is better when we are on holiday and focus on building things on them. Holidays are also a time we get to relax our body, mind, and soul too.

Enjoying my holidays is something that is a priority for me. I know how hard I have worked throughout the year which is why I am going to make sure that each moment that I get to spend during my holiday is something that is going to be committed to helping me to recover very well from what I've put myself in through out the year.

I grew up with a hectic family. Every holiday something was wrong and people were arguing. It made me really not care for the holidays. I don't mind them so much now that I am older and have a wife.

This is a problem with a big family. It's never easy coordinating the multitude of people in the family. There will be one who felt he wasn't treated well. Dealing with this can make you lose your bearings. I've been in this situation before, it's not pleasant.

There are some holidays that have the capacity of stressing you out which is going to make it very difficult for you to enjoy such a holiday. It may probably be as a result of what and how things goes on in your family in that holiday season.

I think it depends on the person. Some people get a lot of joy from celebrating holidays, especially if it's with family and friends. There's nothing better than spending a holiday with family, maybe opening gifts, playing games, talking about the past and present and so much more.

I think holidays can bring out love and happiness for many. But also the holidays may be triggering for some who currently don't have family or friends to celebrate holidays with, so when they do come around, it reminds them of the past, either good or bad, and they see they aren't experiencing the happy side of the holidays.

Some people hate the holidays because of what I mentioned above. But I'd argue that people change their mindset because they're either excited for the holidays to come, so they can spend time with friends, family and have a good time, but then there are those who aren't thrilled for the holidays because it brings up memories of the past that they no longer have any part of these days. Maybe a relative died during a major holiday, or someone is estranged from their family and the holidays is a reminder of what they don't have.

It is always a common thing that happens in any public organised event. It is always impossible for you to satisfy everyone that come to such events even if it's your family members. I don't usually reason whatever most people say that happened in a public event because I know that there is no way I can satisfy every human being once.
