Should forum owners ever hide their stats, or part of their stats?

Some people hide:
- Posts per day.
- No. of Posts.
- Members.

etc.

Thoughts? :)

Posts per day is not needed imo. There is no logic to it.
All other stuffs you mentioned are pretty decent and I don't see any problems in displaying them. If the numbers are good, its a nice show off too! :)

I personally think it's the most important stat! If you have a good number of posts per day (say 100+) then you've got an active forum and one worth joining!

Stats don't really matter to me all that much, just a sign that things are going well. So I don't really feel the need to hide the site's accomplishments. If it were something that was negatively impacting the forum though... Might just hide that. :p

Oh I didn't think it that way! :p
But if its below 50 or something like that, displaying it will simply backfire! :/

What's the posts per day for WGBB? Might do good displaying it. :ilike:

Stats always appeal to me, and I find myself staring at them for quite sometime on a lot of new forums to gauge the activity etgc

Averaging around 1-200 since you and Southern came into play. xD

Because Xpl0iter has been busy and I am too lazy to go digging through the XF system to look for the hook which we could introduce to the post area. :p
