I was just wondering if anyone here had ever took the step to rename their website/forum and if so, what sort of issues did you face and how did you deal with things like SEO and redirection to the new site (If you moved domains)

Nah never thought to do it simply due to the fact that it's such a PR nightmare. You have to advertise all over your new name, you have to redirect urls, etc etc. All that could very much mean the end of a website.

I always wanted to change the name of my site obscurant1st.biz.
But not anymore, you wouldn't believe how many searches are referring just for the word obscurant1st.
