Have you ever made money reselling domain names?

I've made a topic regarding premium domain names and usually most people who purchase them do so to try and make a profit off of it. Have you ever purchased a few domain names at a time for the sole purpose of reselling them to potential buyers? I've never done so, I could imagine if you found the right person you might be able to make some money but I'm not sure if it would be enough to cover what you might have paid for the domain name to begin with. I did resell one of my domain names back in 2016 but I only made a few measly cents unfortunately...

No, I haven't. In early 2016, I bought a lot of domains in the hope to sell them for a higher price. For the whole year, I could not sell any of my domains, therefore, I had to renew. I continued renewing my domains in the hope to get buyers, but I could never sell domains. However, I have sold a lot of websites along with domain names and website files.

I have tried to buy and resell domain names in the past, however, I never had much success with it. I was never able to resell the domain name for the same purchase price lol. Unfortunately, I have not tried to buy and/or resell domain names due to past bad experiences. Domain selling just isn't something that works for me.

Buying and selling domain online is also a good way to earn a good amount of money online, but sometimes it gets really tough to buy for a long time Before selling it.

It takes patience to profit from domain marketing, sometimes you'll buy a domain and keep for many years without finding who to buy, it seriously take patience.

it does not entirely depend on luck in most cases, selling of domains is a skill that is learnable after which you can start to earn from it. most people with enough capital make so much money from selling of domain names.

Perhaps we may need to market our domain after creating it? What about using affiliate marketing when it comes to selling domains? Is it possible to sell domains through affiliate marketing?

Reselling domains might not be a get rich quick scheme as many people may believe, however, if you have great domain names, then you can make some money and sell some great domains for good amount of money.

Nah, if I am done with one I just let it go. I have no interest in selling domains be they old or new. I have not gotten into flipping them either. Seems to take way too much time and effort for me.

Well, what I notice is that only selected people purchase unique and old domains. If we buy domains in the hope of making a good amount from them, then sometimes maybe they are not selling for a long time, so I don't think the domain buy and sell business is profitable.

If done it in right way, domain reselling is very profitable. The only issue is that domain business don't move fast. You can stay months without sale. I sold one long ago and I make little profit. But it's long and I don't may be I can try it again.

Several years ago I wanted a domain to host all the articles I wrote, so I bought bywc.com (by my initials), but never got very far with the project. I had no idea to sell it until a man contacted me through a forum I used and offered me #1,500 for the name. We put it through escrow.com and I was quite thrilled, but not thrilled enough to go into the domain name business.

Half of hosters doesn't offer transferable domain name means the domain name is property of hosting company you could not move to another site but this capability is for the other half of hosters. (like when buying wordpress site with hosting domain name).

A fantastic way to make money internet is by buying and selling domain names, although at times it can be difficult to actually find a customer who is interested in purchasing your domain.
