Have you ever gone to listen to opera?

I have never been to the opera, but I would like to go at least once to live the experience since I like opera, have you ever been to an opera show? what did you think?

We do not have opera here, opera is not part of our culture, but we have musical shows (musical drama and musical play) and I have frequently gone to watch these shows.
