Have you ever felt like a complete n00b!

So I have been doing this for a while now and I just had a complete n00b moment. In all your time doing this have you had a moment where you are like." why isn't this working" but then have the epiphany of why it's not working?

Let's take mine. I was setting up re-write URLs on my community. Thinking it was a hosting issue, I contacted my hosting provider about it. Only to have one of those ah-ha moments and go check the htaccesss and make sure it has a period. Come to find out that was my issue. I felt like a complete NOOB lol

Of course. Many times! For me it depends how long it has been from setting up. If there’s months in between, I tend to forget. Then after some troubles it usually gets fixed quite soon and I’m like “Ohh that’s how it’s supposed to go”

So yeah, trial and error many times until you master it. Keep trying and failing so many times that even the subject starts taking bets on when you'll finally master it. 😜

We all have at some time or another in some field/niche.
The other night I was going bonkers trying to figure out why the telescope camera was never showing a star field... but the camera was showing active.
Turns out... it helps if you take the cover off the other end of the telescope if you want to see anything!
My "only" excuse was I was hurrying to set up in daylight as there were some balancing issues I was trying to get resolved.... but forgetting the end cap was also affecting those balance issues.

Having experienced both I’m fairly certain that’s Tyr espousing how to do stuff and Cedders pretending he knows what he’s talking about.

Being a coder, I have these moments all of the time. I'm like, "Why the heck is it not working?" and then I see a minuscule piece of JavaScript missing or malformed. Thankfully, there's the JavaScript console and tools like JSHint that can validate your JavaScript, otherwise, I'd go crazy.

I just ran into an issue because I added a domain to my cpanel late at night and used a shared home folder with a different site 🤣

There are so many moments where I just can't figure things out. Trial and error.... trial and error again... oh and trial and error. That's when I know I need someone else's assistance/eyes to look at it. Sometimes it's harder to see your own mistakes than it is to find it in other people's work.

Oh yeah...when I forget that we have our images stored in one spot and forget to use those links instead of attachments, it shows I'm not paying attention like I should.
