Have you ever been to a protest?

We very often see protests on TV, but it rarely affects us and we just watch from the side, but have you ever been a participant in a protest, because I have never had such an experience and I would not really like to

I have been a spectator of protests and demonstrations but I have never participated in protest. I have political inclination but I am just not into it.
